Beard trims in Richmond and Nelson
Beard trims, line-ups and shape-ups by Josh at JSL Studios, Richmond. Neck and cheek lines cleaned, length taken down evenly, hot towel finish.
A beard trim is not just taking length off. The shape is set by the neck line and the cheek line, and if those are wrong the beard looks untidy no matter how short it is. Josh sets the lines first, then takes the length down evenly.
What is included
- Neck line set at the right height for your jaw and neck, then cleaned with a razor.
- Cheek line tidied and, if you want, sharpened.
- Length taken down with clippers or scissors so it is even all the way round.
- Moustache trimmed clear of your lip.
- Hot towel before the razor work.
- A quick pass with beard oil to finish.
Shapes and styles
Short boxed beards, full beards kept tidy, a stubble length maintained evenly, goatees and a clean chin strap. Whatever you wear, the job is to make it look deliberate. If you are growing a beard out and want it kept in shape on the way, say so and Josh will trim around the growth rather than cutting it back.
With a haircut
A beard trim pairs naturally with a skin fade, where the fade at the sideburn blends straight into the beard. Book the two together and Josh will make the transition look like one line rather than a haircut sitting on top of a beard.
Booking
Use the booking form and mention whether you want the beard on its own or with a men’s haircut.
